Make up Collection - Picture Heavy!

Hey ya'll! Today I decided to take some pics of my "set up," and all my makeup!

This is where I do all of my makeup.

A closer look at my brushes. The left is face brushes and the right is eye brushes.

Frequently used products & my magnifying mirror.

The top section of the drawers houses my tools to the left and lotions/creams to the right.

The only things in the top part are two mark palettes.

The top drawer as mostly newly purchased things, two Elizabeth Arden duos, and NYC duo, and an Ulta Palette.

The second drawer houses all of my ELF shadows and also two Jane shadows.

I keep all of my mascars and liners in the bottom drawer.

A peek in the top drawer of my dresser.

The lower left section has a basket with my frequently used lip products and my brush cleanser. (I used EnKoreMakeup's recipe for the cleanser)

The left side of the drawer: frequently used lip stuff, the clear container has other lip stuff, brush cleanser, a Sephora box that has cotton balls & Q tips in it, beauty pads, makeup remover, nail blocks, and a jane "makeover in a box."

The right side of the drawer has a basket of some face makeup & another kabuki, my frequently used nail polishes in the back, a hair brush, back with hairties, and a cloth that a use to clean my mirrors.

And finally, this is a box that has makeup that either I don't like, I don't use, or it was the wrong color.

My Amuse Palette is not pictured, but it can be seen in my previous post!

Wow, that took a while! I hope ya'll enjoyed. As always, feel free to ask for any swatches or reviews on anything you see here!

I've got to focus on an English paper and a few tests this week, so I'll keep ya'll updated!

Until next time :)

More new stuff!

Hey ya'll! Sorry for no updates yesterday, I was busy running errands all day and playing pool at night!

But I got my CherryCulture.com stuff and I am pretty excited! Of course I snapped some pictures! Here is a list of all the products I got, followed by pictures, followed by my first impressions!

Things purchased: Amuse 84 Eyeshadow Palette, NYX Single Shadow in Wild Fire, NYX Single Shadow in Rust, NYX Single Shadow in Dark Brown, Wild and Crazy Shadow in Te Amo, Gold Digger, Magic Purple & Bella(of course I bought that one simply for the name!), 3 NYX Ultra Pearl Mania (loose shadows) in Pearl, Mink, and Turquois, Amuse Foundation Stick, NYX Automatic Eyeliner in Dark Brown, NYX 1000 Miles Long Lashes Mascara in Black, NYX Round Lipstick in Creamy Beige, and a free cherryculture.com cherry lip gloss!

Amuse 84 Eyeshadow Palette

the rest of the goodies :)

close up of tht NYX shadows. L-R Rust, Wild Fire, Dark Brown.

Okay so first impressions wise, I was disappointed with the Amuse Palette. It is SO small. I honestly was not expecting it to be that small. Of course if I had read the website, it clearly states its dimensions. Anyway, after I used one of the red colors and a highlight, my opinion quickly changed! I LOVE IT! The colors are actually really pigmented and are long lasting! This is a great palette especially for someone just starting out in makeup because there are SO many colors! It is great!

I immediately loved the NYX shadows! I haven't tried them yet, but I love their looks and colors! The Wild and Crazy shadows at first glance were just OKAY. I was honestly expecting the colors to be a bit brighter, but you get what you pay for I guess! :) The NYX lipstick is nice, though I probably would never wear it on its own, it is a pretty color! The Amuse Foundation stick could NOT BE A WORSE MATCH for my skin tone. Seriously, it's like pure white. It's VERY pale, and does not work with my skin AT ALL! I really like to Loose Shadows from NYX so far, I'm just not sure how to get them out of their containers, but I'll figure it out :). The liner and mascara are both good, I like them. The free lipgloss reminds me of something I had in 7th grade, lol.

So that's it for my CherryCulture.com haul. Overall, I am pleased with it, and will most likely order again pretty soon!

I went to my local Ulta yesterday. I seriously LOVE Ulta. The sales people are always really friendly. I could spend HOURS just browsing all the aisles looking at everything. So I spent probably about 40 minutes perusing, and didn't come out with much in the end! I was good, I only spent about 9 or 10 dollars, so not too bad!

I bought Neutrogena's makeup remover wipes which I absolutely LOVE, an Ulta nail polish in Ginger Peach on sale for $.99, and some beauty pads to use with face washes, spot treatments, etc.

I'm not going to the ELF plumping lip glaze review for a few days because Bella scratched my upper lip last night :( but it will come at some point!

If anyone would like to see a close or swatch or review of anything, do let me know! :)

Until next time :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hey ya'll! Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope everyone had a great one, whether you are single or in a relationship! :)

Moving on to some good news! The UPS man came today, and I got my Sephora order!!

Here it is! The Powdered Liquid Foundation! First impression, I thought it was nice looking! Plus the gift box it comes in is super cute! Then I tried it on.....turns out the color is too dark for me; it's a little orange-y I guess. It'll probably be fine in the summer, because I do tan really well being that I'm a lifeguard & am outside all the time :). But we'll see. Overall, I'm not ALL that impressed, but as always I will keep ya'll posted with updates! And just for comparison's sake...

So it's roughly the height of my Secret Deodarant. I can't recommend this product right now, only because I really haven't used it, only tested it, but I will definitely do a review once I get a better feel for it!

I also got 3 free samples for ordering. I got a Boscia skin treatment sample, and also two MENS fragrances :( Needless to say I did NOT know they were men's until I received them today. So I'm a little bummed about that, but Ally is gonna give them to her boyfriend so they won't go to waste but STILL! Oh well....

My mom always gets Ally, Brett and I cute little things on Valentine's day. Last year I got a Product Red shirt from the gap that says Desi(red), which I love! This year she got me ......

A pink T-shirt with a floral type design on it & a red and write striped ribbed tank! I love both items! The tank is perfect for lifeguarding since it matches my shorts & bathing suit! So yeah, I am pleased!! It has been a good day!

Tomorrow I am planning a review on ELF's plumping lip gloss, so keep a watch out!

Until next time : )

2 shipments!

Hey ladies! I coudn't update yesterday because BELLA (pictured in my last post) decided that she got hungry & chewed up my laptop charger. I was so mad, seriously. She's lucky she didn't get electrocuted!! Anyway, Dell (their customer service is AWESOME) sent me a new one, so I'm back.

Anyway! Good news! Today I received 2 out of 4 shipments! I got my ELF and Everyday Minerals orders and I am so excited!! Here are some pictures:

I got Shine Eraser Sheets (love them so far), eye makeup remover pads, nail color in Coral, Hypershine Lipgloss in Fairy, 2 plumping lip glazes in Champagne and Fire Coral, a Candy Shop Lip Gloss tin in Melon Mayhem, a kabuki brush(absolutely LOVE it), wet gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascarsa, and brightening eye color in Matte Mauve, and Blue Moon.

I am loving everything I got so far, especially all the lip glosses and my kabuki! Fabulous!

This is the Everyday Minerals free sample kit (you do have to pay shipping though). Basically it is just 3 foundations, a concealer, and a blush. I know it's hard to see in this picture, but they were hard to photograph. I haven't tried these yet, but I'll keep ya'll posted!

That's pretty much it for today! I will be back tomorrow! I got an email from Sephora regarding my package, and it should be here tomorrow!

Until next time! :)

RANDOM!

Hey ya'll. I don't really have much to say in this entry, lol. Nothing much has changed as far as my makeup goes. --- I'm now waiting on 4 shipments, and I'm tellin you what...time could not go any slower!!! I'm trying to be patient, really, it's just not working out!

Anyway, on the Blogdorf Goodman beauty blog, Annie wrote about not being satisfied with UDPP. I've been eyeing this product for some time now, but I can't bring myself to buy it, especially with how much they been holdin out on us! ( See Clumps of Mascara's blog to see). It's crazy, and for 15 bucks a pop....IDK. Right now I just use ELF's Sheilding hydro tint as a base, and it works well for me; keeps my shadows on all day.

MOVING ON....I had 3 classes today. Okay, well I guess only 2 since we had a test in the other. Sociology is an interesting class, but my goodness the dude can bore you. Got a 90 on my music test, and English was OKAY. I do have a lot of work to do though for math class. It's only getting harder and harder. Also, reading textbooks is kickin my butt right about now! Especially when I would much rather read beauty blogs!!

Seriously, I can be entertained for hours on end, reading blog after blog about everything beauty. It just really intrigues me!

So, hopefully tomorrow I'll have better news!! My makeup better get here soon!!!

I'll leave you with a picture of my baby, Bella!

Until next time :)

ELF Collection!

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v291/paultvaulter4/?action=view&current=lauren003-1.flv

Hey ya'll. So that is a link to a video where I show my entire ELF Collection. Unfortunately I was not able to figure out how to embed the video, but that is a direct link to it : )

I broke down and ordered more makeup today! This time the culprit is Cherry Culture. I spent about $40 on mostly NYX products. I haven't tried any NYX, but have heard very good things about the brand, so I figured I'd give it a go! I also ordered an Amuse 84 eyeshadow Palette, and a few other misselaneous things! I'll definitely make a post when that shipment arrives!

I am officially done buying makeup for a little while (don't hold me to it). I've spent CRAZY amounts of money lately on makeup and I seriously need to stop! I can't wait to get my tax return! Ya'll know I'm gonna have some fun with that!

I am still waiting the arrival of my ELF, Sephora, and Everyday Minerals shipments! I need to be patient though; I just placed the orders on Friday! That's one of the bad things about online ordering!! UGH. And also, SHIPPING payment is a pain, especially when it is a standard rate. But obviously, these things do not stop me from making further purchases!

Anyway, it is REAL windy here in Charlotte. When I got out of my car at the grocery store, I swear the door almost blew off it's hinge. Brett had his birthday party today, and it was definitely crazy...so many screaming children! LOL, but it was really fun! And I thought it was great that instead of gifts, Brett asked for donations for the Make a Wish Foundation, and he ended up getting almost $90 in donations! It was really sweet.

That's it from me for today!! Hope ya'll are havin' great days!
Until next time :)

PS I have no idea how to change the time on this thing, but it is only 5:20 PM right now...not too sure why it comes up as 8:20... oh well :)

More Info...

Okay, so I know this is pretty soon to be making another blog, lol. But since I am so excited about starting this up, I couldn't help myself!!
In my last post, I mentioned being OBSESSED with makeup. Well, I should have been a tad more specific. I really like drug store brands/cheaper brands of makeup. In fact, I only own ONE MAC product, Studio Fix. While I do like Studio Fix (great coverage), I am in no place to shell out that kind of money all the time. I AM a college student, people. And on top of being a college student, I don't have a steady income. I lifeguard in the summer, and have random babysitting jobs, and that's about it.
Anyway, yeah, drug store brands are mainly all I use. More specifically, ELF
http://www.eyeslipsface.com/ . I seriously LOVE their products, and the price simply can not be beat. I have ordered products from the website 4 times now, and am waiting on my 4th shipment. The eyeshadow quads are surprisingly pigmented, and I use them nearly every day. I will definitely do a haul post once that shipment comes in, and also a post with all of my ELF products :)

Another shipment I'm waiting for is from Sephora. The only time I really order from Sephora is when something really cool is on sale. I go through the sale pages probably weekly, lol. I ordered the Sephora brand Powdered Liquid Foudation. It sounded interesting, and was only 4 bucks plus shipping. I'll review that once it comes in! I have high hopes for this product!

On the Sephora website, if you search "sale," all of their items currently on sale pop up, and right now there are some great deals on the Sephora brand brushes; I definitely recommend checking them out!

Finally, my third shipment that I'm waiting for is from Everyday Minerals. I ordered just the free sample kit. The kit includes three foundations, a blush, and a concealer. I'm really interested in how well this stuff works. I've heard good things about it! So as usual, I will let you guys know how I feel about it!

Thanks for reading! Until next time :)
